We have two (X2) vacancies for the position of SCHOOL BUS DRIVER are available at The Salvation Army Boroko Primary School here in Port Moresby, NCD. We invite interested applicans with appropriate qualifications and experience to apply.

Key Requirements:
• Minimum of grade 10/12 certificate or tertiary qualifications
• Current Driver’s License with the correct class 6 for driving a school bus and Police Clearance
• Excellent Knowledge of road routes
• Confident Driving Skills and an excellent understanding of road rules and traffic regulations
• Must be organized and have methodical work habits to meet set deadlines
• Able to work under supervision
• Be well-presented and have a good customer service skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the school bus is clean inside and out and well-maintained.

Regularly check registration and safety sticker, notifying school administration before expiration.

Report any damage or mechanical issues promptly.

Follow all traffic rules including respecting traffic lights and speed limits.

Assist students with loading and unloading into the bus when the bus assistant is unavailable.

Know the student designated to the bus and where they live.

Maintain order among students on the bus, reporting any issues to the administration.

Strictly observe passenger transport regulations.
