We have an immediate requirement for a Utilities Technician, to join our Utilities Team within our Engineering Department, reporting to the Utilities Engineer.



The Utilities Technician ensures daily process monitoring and control, to ensure availability of Utilities such as Electricity, Water, CO2, etc. for production. Implement and follow the key performance indicators and strive for continuous improvement. Work according to the company policy and procedures, with the aim of achieving the Utilities overall KPI’s.

Qualification & Experience:

Grade 10/12 with Trade certificate (mechanical, or electrical, or automation, or instrumentation) from technical college, TAFE or equivalent
Basic knowledge (non-expert) of operation and maintenance of following equipment:
Compressed air installation
Power generation and power distribution systems
Water and wastewater treatment
CO2 recuperation system
Ammonia Refrigeration system
Steam generation.

Specific:
Refrigeration legislation
Basic Electricity legislation

Key Requirements:
• Minimum of grade 10/12 certificate or tertiary qualifications
• Current Driver’s License with the correct class 6 for driving a school bus and Police Clearance
• Excellent Knowledge of road routes
• Confident Driving Skills and an excellent understanding of road rules and traffic regulations
• Must be organized and have methodical work habits to meet set deadlines
• Able to work under supervision
• Be well-presented and have a good customer service skills
